‘Criminal Minds’ season 11 spoilers: First look at ‘The Witness’ with Marisol Nichols, Tim Kang
Thanks to the finale of “Big Brother” and the premiere of “Survivor,” there is no new episode of “Criminal Minds” airing during fall premiere week. Therefore, you’re going to be waiting until September 30 to see the first episode of season 11, and the debut of Aisha Tyler as Dr. Tara Lewis, a character who will be important to the story in the early going.
In moving beyond Tyler’s debut you are also going to see Tim Kang (“The Mentalist”) and Marisol Nichols (“Teen Wolf,” “NCIS”) in “The Witness,” an episode airing on October 7 that seems to be all about making sure that a vast attack on Los Angeles does not occur. The press release below gives you probably more insight into the guest-starring roles than it does the story of the actual episode:
“When a Los Angeles bus is attacked with sarin gas, the BAU must act quickly to find the suspect before a larger-scale incident occurs, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Oct. 7 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Guest stars include Marisol Nichols (NCIS, “24”) as FBI Agent Natalie Colfax, who assists the BAU with the investigation, and Tim Kang (“The Mentalist”) as Charlie Senerak, a medical supply worker.”
In total, the first part of season 11 is going to be very much about bringing in a variety of interesting people as guest stars. This is in part what happens when you’ve got Jennifer Love Hewitt gone from the show and AJ Cook on maternity leave; this is a series that is still in the process of figuring itself out when it comes to some of its characters, even if there are a set of established favorites including Hotch, Garcia, Rossi, and Reid.
