‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: Official premiere details for Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, cast

“Supernatural” fans, the time for waiting is at an end … at least for the premiere synopsis. Unfortunately, there was really not too much to get excited about here in the first place if you were hoping to see some new details on the story ahead. It is mostly a regurgitation of everything that you’ve seen so far for Sam and Dean, along with Castiel having to handle what happened with Rowena and also the fight with Crowley.

At one point, The CW released slightly-longer synopses for this show, almost like they are doing now for other shows. All we’re left with here this time is what we have below:

“Picking up where the finale left off, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) must deal with the Darkness that has been unleashed. Castiel (Misha Collins) deals with the effects of Rowena’s (Ruth Connell) spell and recalls his brutal battle with Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard).”

So is it a good or bad thing that we still have so much left open to our imagination? Ultimately, we feel like the best way to describe it is “mixed.” While we are in some ways bummed that we don’t get more information, sometimes we do find synopses for some other shows (in particular the vampire ones) to be a little too stuffed with spoilers. The last thing that we want to do is end up purposefully giving away anything that would make the show a little less surprising.

For now, it is for that reason that we’re going to assume the show is keeping things short. They have something that they want to unveil in due time, but they don’t want to do it too early.
