‘Blue Bloods’ season 6 spoilers: ‘ER’ actor signs on for guest spot

Blue Bloods season 6The sixth season of “Blue Bloods” is going to be premiering on CBS come a week from Friday. Are you ready? Well, hopefully some of the latest news in regards to guest stars will help to get you even more prepared.

As first reported by Yahoo! TV, Anthony Edwards of “ER” fame has been booked to play a role on one upcoming episode of the CBS crime procedural, playing the part of Owen Cairo, a man who discovers that a beloved 1968 Mustang has gone missing. Supposedly, this is the same care driven by Steve McQueen in ‘Bullitt,’ but we’re not sure what this really has to do with the story at large.

For a variety of reasons, “Blue Bloods” is at its core a show that is rather tough to discuss in advance when it comes to specific teasers on what to expect, with one of the reasons being that the show typically focuses mostly on family stories with a little bit of ripped-from-the-headlines stuff thrown it, typically placed within the form of a case. It’s really not so much about figuring out who committed a crime as it is tryingt o figure out how to handle a situation that could put either the New York Police Department or the city’s residents in danger.

As we get into next week, we suspect that we will have more to share when it comes to the contents of the upcoming episodes. Be sure to stay on the lookout for further news.
