‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: First look at ‘The Man Who Saved Central City’
When “The Flash” season 2 premieres on The CW come Tuesday, October 6, there is going to be a celebration at hand! What’s the problem? It may just come down to something as simple as the fact that there is a rather large meta-human on the loose!
“The Man Who Saved Central City” is the title for this all-important hour, which is hopefully going to explain quite a bit about the Singularity and what some of the aftereffects of this are. We imagine that there will still be a few surprised mixed in along the way, and they are not even mentioned in the official synopsis for the installment below:
“Picking up months after the Singularity attacked Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) is still struggling to forgive himself for Eddie’s death. Concerned about putting his friends in danger, Barry has pushed everyone away and has chosen to protect the city on his own. When a meta-human named Atom Smasher (guest star Adam Copeland) attacks the city, Iris (Candice Patton) tells Barry that he needs to let his friends help him protect the citizens of Central City. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) helps Joe (Jesse L. Martin) with his Meta Task Force.”
If there is any one thing that we can hope for, it is that the show does continue to find a way to surprise us one way or another, and that we get some hints in the early going that Professional Zoom, the eventual Big Bad for this season, is on the way. Since we know that his presence will be felt, it is a little bit harder to wait to see if he will turn up.
