‘America’s Got Talent’ season 11: Who could replace Howard Stern? Also, how to audition

AGTTonight is the end of “America’s Got Talent” season 10, and it is the end of an era for the NBC show. In some ways, you could consider Piers Morgan the “head judge” if you will for the first six seasons. He wasn’t the best-known judge, but he was the harshest and therefore the one whose opinion mattered the most sometimes. Since that time, seasons 7-10 have been a part of the Howard Stern. The King of All Media is such a huge personality that he commands attention, and the fact that Nick Cannon even referred to him as “Judge Howard Stern” the past few years says a lot.

So who could feasibly replace him? Right now, the frontrunner probably has to be Simon Cowell, who is an executive-producer and there were rumors about earlier this year. We feel like he would like a presence again on TV in America, and while there are other candidates out there (it’d be great to get a magician or a circus performer for that sort of perspective), he is probably the most famous person that they could find for that role. Maybe you consider also just bringing back Piers, given that he doesn’t have a show on CNN anymore; however, he is probably even more polarizing now than he was as a regular panelist in the show’s early days.

Regardless of who the judges are, the one thing that the show desperately still needs is talent. Here’s how you can audition:

1. You can head over to the link here and learn how to submit a 2-3 minute video showing off your skill.

2. If you prefer to go to a casting call in-person, the aforementioned link has a list of cities and dates this fall. They are covering most of the continental U.S. well, and visiting such places as New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and more. We’re a little surprised that there are no dates as of yet for Chicago or Seattle, but that’s about it.
