‘The Muppets’ spoilers: Jay Leno, Elizabeth Banks to guest star
Given that ABC put out a presentation-of-sorts for the upcoming series “The Muppets,” we were not sure if there was any video footage at all from it that would actually make it into the eventual first episode for the series. Now that we have read the synopsis for this said episode, though, we are starting to realize that at least some of it may be getting in. “Pig Girls Don’t Cry” is the title for the half-hour (airing on September 22 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time), and you can get some further news on what to expect below:
“Miss Piggy is furious that Kermit booked Elizabeth Banks as a guest on her late night talk show Up Late with Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear meets his girlfriend’s parents, and Grammy Award-winning rock band Imagine Dragons performs their new single ‘Roots.'”
Banks is someone who appeared briefly in the presentation, so it made some sense that she would get a part in the first episode, as well. The same goes for the Fozzie Bear story, mostly because it was one of the funniest parts of that video.
Banks is not the only big-name guest star coming in the first two episodes, as we have some further verification that Jay Leno is appearing in “Hostile Makeover” on September 29. Here are all of the details you need to know on that:
“In an attempt to make Miss Piggy happy, Kermit sets her up with Josh Groban who fills her head with ideas on how to make Up Late with Miss Piggy better.Meanwhile, Fozzie is invited to a party at Jay Leno’s house and everyone is annoyed that Bobo is selling cookies for his daughter’s troop.”
