‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: A look at Bruce Wayne’s new mystery
The second season of “Gotham” will arrive on Fox September 21, and when it does, there are many stories that need to be addressed. One of the biggest ones still revolves very much around the character of Bruce Wayne, and what he ends up discovering within his own family home. The mystery was revealed in the closing minutes of season 1, and it feels now like the groundwork has been laid for a hero in Batman to be born.
Yet, you still have to think that getting to that point will never fully happen in the series. What we are going to uncover in the premiere (hopefully the show doesn’t kick the metaphorical ball downfield on this) is what happens when he starts to understand why his father had kept this a secret. Is it something that he had always intended for Bruce to find? That is one part of the puzzle that will be interesting to figure out, to go along with how Bruce handles having the knowledge, and who to share it with.
Obviously, one person who is always in his corner in Alfred, and we feel like he could use him even more now since what we’re really seeing on this show is a pretty badass iteration of the butler who is not afraid to at times get physical. Granted, he’s also much younger than he is in the Batman days.
Also, there is Luicius Fox, and with every indication we are going to see a whole lot more of this character as well moving deeper into the second season. He is someone who may be able to help Bruce understand his responsibility.
While you still have to wait more than a week for episodes, Fox has done a good job still at releasing various sneak peeks for the show.
