‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 6 spoilers: First look at huge moment coming for McGarrett, Catherine

Is love going to be in the air on “Hawaii Five-0” season 6? It may be on McGarrett’s end, but there are still some questions as to whether or not this love is fully reciprocated in the way that he would really hope for.

The photo at the bottom of this article is a first look at a potential proposal that McGarrett is going to be delivering in the direction of Catherine, who has come back into the world of the show for another wedding, the one between Kono and Adam. Maybe seeing them together compels Steve to make such a move, and it is definitely a sweeping, romantic gesture. However, it is not one that is guaranteed to end with a “yes” and a happy wedding of his own.

In discussing this story (and the photo) to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Peter Lenkov reminds us that there is another potential love interest coming up for McGarrett who could complicate things further:

“Boiling him down, McGarrett is a warrior with a huge heart … From our first season, Catherine has stolen that heart and now he’s ready to take that major leap in their relationship six years later. It’s probably one of the bravest things this soldier has ever done. And yes, you may have heard that Sarah Carter is coming in as Lynn, a nature lover with whom McGarrett goes on a wild adventure. Let’s just say that it’s going to be a busy fall for our head of Five-0.”

Regardless of what happens, we’re sure that it will be emotional. Even if Catherine does say “no” to the proposal, there is still no guarantee that the “no” will stick forever.
