‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ video: See Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates and more

While we’re not going to necessarily claim that the video below for “American Horror Story: Hotel” is a trailer (we tend to think of those as longer than 30 seconds), this is one of the first real clips released by FX to feature the majority of the cast in action one way or another.

The promo is entitled “Hallways,” and if you look closely, you can see Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, and many others in character. It’s a pretty creepy teaser, and one that reminds us somewhat of what we are going to see from the show in terms of tone. While we know that the Hotel Cortez is not going to be the only setting for the series, it is going to be the most-noteworthy setting.

The show is already being compared to “American Horror Story: Murder House,” which does make some sense given that an episode of the show is going to be taking place in that same house. We’ll just have to see what the show does to get us to that point.

This season is the fifth for the FX horror franchise, and at the moment, we are definitely expecting the ratings to be on another level. The real challenge for this season is for the most part consistency, since the typical trajectory for the show is that it starts out really big, and then has to battle to keep some of those ratings by the end of the season. At least they are putting themselves in a great position to start strong.
