‘Legends of Tomorrow’ filming begins for Caity Lotz, Brandon Routh, cast
You’ve heard a lot about DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” over the past several months, but this show is a little bit unusual in comparison to many other upcoming primetime series. While most shows had a pilot and at least spent a couple of weeks getting to know each other, this show filmed only a trailer in a short amount of time in the spring. They are really just now getting to be used to being around one another, and they are now filming their first day in Vancouver.
Confirmation of this very thing comes courtesy of series star Caity Lotz on Twitter (see below), which should also be proof that maybe her arc on “Arrow” is either done for the time being, or she won’t have a huge presence on one of the two shows for a little while. Part of the challenge for “Arrow” is getting her character ready to go off and become the White Canary here, someone capable of doing great things while still being haunted by some of her past.
“Legends of Tomorrow” also stars Brandon Routh (The Atom), Ciara Renee (Hawkgirl), Victor Garber (Martin Stein), Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold), and many more. There is no firm premiere date for the show yet, but we expect it to start up early next year. There is going to be a huge crossover episode coming up with “Arrow” and “The Flash,” where we will get to see how the group really comes to fruition and crossover over more to their own show.
We imagine that for this cast, this has to be a very confusing affair. Lotz has filmed Sara’s resurrection, and now she is filming her new show. Meanwhile, she’ll have to go back and film the crossover a little later this fall, which will air before “Legends” premieres. Odd, no?
