‘Scorpion’ season 2 spoilers: A Cuba mission and unlocking Cabe’s past

Monday, September 21 marks the season 2 premiere of “Scorpion,” and that episode will serve as a way to learn further about just how Walter and the rest of the team figure out how to move forward following the events of the finale. Also, it marks a great opportunity to see whether or not there is an immediate future for him and Paige, or if this is something that you’re going to have to wait and see.

We’re going to move beyond the show’s premiere for a minute or two, though, and in the rest of this article focus a little more on “Cuba Libre,” the second episode this season. Let’s start with the synopsis below:

“Team Scorpion heads to Cuba when a woman from Cabe’s past pleads for him to help catch a Serbian war criminal, on SCORPION, Monday, Sept. 28 (9:00-9:59 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  Alana De La Garza returns as the new head of Homeland Security and Kevin Weisman guest stars are Walter’s new friend, Ray, whom he meets doing his court-mandated community service.”

What is in some ways remarkable about this episode is that this is one that would not have really been possible to do until recently. when some of the sanctions against Cuba from the United States were lifted. While it is not like the production crew actually went to the country to work, you do have to maintain a little bit of relevance logically. It would have been harder to sell the story if Cuba was still so closed-off.
