‘Bones’ season 11: See Emily Deschanel, David Boreanaz in new cast photos

The season 11 premiere of “Bones” is scheduled to air on Fox starting on Thursday, October 1, and Fox is kind enough today to release some of the first cast promotional photos.

If the one above looks familiar to you, the reason for that is because it is. This is basically the same promotional photo used before John Francis Daley (Sweets) departed the shown. They’ve just replaced him in the image with John Boyd (Aubrey), that way there are still six people who are a part of the team. Still, we’re not going to complain about the lack of creativity too much, or that “Bones” for whatever reason likes to have literal bones somewhere in the majority of their photos. At this particular point in time, we are just grateful that these are things that we continue to have.

If you want to get a little more specific, you can see a pair of new photos below featuring just Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel). We’re not going to say necessarily that there is anything about these images that stand out per se, but they’re nice! It’s good to have Fox being proactive in creating new press images this year, given that not all networks do choose to do this on a regular basis. Given the cast changes last season, it does make sense this time around.

The show’s premiere is going to help to connect some of the story dots following last season’s finale, and allow for Booth and Brennan to get back to the Jeffersonian doing more of what they are known for. Boreanaz is going to be absent for at least some of the premiere, and you can read more as to why over at this link.
