‘Switched at Birth’ season 4 spoilers: A far-from-normal spring break
“Switched at Birth” is a show that does do a pretty remarkable job of surprising you with certain events, so would anyone really be that surprised to see Daphne, Bay, and Travis’ upcoming spring break turn into something that is far from what they would have first imagined it to be?
Setting an episode of the show around this time is perfect, at least when it comes to a smart move for the writers to make. Given where many of the characters are in their lives at the moment, it’s not exactly that easy to round them all up in the same place at the same time … unless you are sending them off somewhere when they are out of school. You can get the entire group together, and then start to see a little bit of what unfolds. Based on the synopsis below for the September 21 installment “Instead of Damning the Darkness, It’s Better to Light a Little Lantern” (yes, another crazy-long title), Bay’s feelings about Emmett are somehow going to get in the way of what happens in Mexico trying to help others:
“Daphne, Bay and Travis celebrate spring break with a volunteer trip to rural Mexico with Melody to distribute hearing aids to underprivileged locals. However, lines are crossed when Daphne makes an unexpected connection with a fellow volunteer and Bay’s passionate anger toward Emmett gets the better of her.
“Meanwhile, Melody’s boyfriend surprises her with a life-changing idea.”
We imagine the real question is what sort of “connection” we’re talking about here with Daphne and another volunteer, but we suppose we will find out over time.
