‘Masters of Sex’ season 3, episode 9 preview: Can Masters continue the surrogacy program?

Sunday night’s new episode of “Masters of Sex” is going to be a big one for a variety of different reasons, but one of the biggest ones is seeing Masters and Johnson working together again! It’s just in a little bit of a different dynamic than we have seen previously.

Specifically, this time Masters is going to be trying to run his surrogacy program under Virginia’s watchful eye, but he may be at least relatively quick to figure out that this is not going to be anywhere near as simple as it would look on the surface. Both of these two are strong-willed, and their personalities are of course going to clash (just in ways we have not seen to this point).

The promo below for this episode also features Dan Logan trying to find reasons to stay in St. Louis, while we also see Libby Masters front and center for a story of her own. There are only four episodes now to try to resolve everything and move forward, and we are in what we’d consider more interesting territory. Masters and Johnson’s lives are a little more well-documented at this point than they were in the early years of the show, so how closely Showtime and the producers want to stay true to their lives will be one of the interesting things that we are going to behold over the next several weeks.
