‘Luke Cage’ spoilers: ‘Sons of Anarchy’ alum Theo Rossi, others sign on

Marvel’s upcoming “Luke Cage” series for Netflix is starting to take form! We already knew that Alfre Woodard was going to be one of the noteworthy characters on the series, and to go along with that, we’ve got some further scoop today on a few other additions.

Theo Rossi – One of our favorites from the “Sons of Anarchy” universe (you know him for playing Juice), Deadline reports that Rossi is more than likely going to be playing Shades, a rival for Mike Colter’s title character in the comics. We know that Theo can play intense roles, so we’re pretty darn optimistic that this is going to be great.

Simone Missick – Deadline also reports that Missick has been booked to play the part of “Missy,” a woman who may end up being the Misty Knight. She gets a bionic arm from Tony Stark in the comics, but it’s to be seen just how far the series chooses to go in that direction.

Mahershala Ali – Finally, we turn to Deadline (they’re really racking up the scoop on this, aren’t they?) for news that Ali is going to be Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes on the show. Stokes is another potential enemy for Cage, and someone he will have to be wary of.

We’ve also heard that Rosario Dawson is set to appear in this show, which will debut on Netflix at some point in 2016. She has appeared already in “Daredevil,” and she will also turn up in the upcoming “Jessica Jones” series premiering a little bit later this year. Colter is going to appear on that show at some point during its run as a way to better introduce the character.
