‘Arrow’ season 4: Stephen Amell’s Green Arrow front and center for promotional poster
For its season 4 marketing campaign, the folks over at “Arrow” have really decided that they want to keep things as simple as possible: The show is about the Green Arrow first and foremost, so why not just go ahead and put him in the spotlight?
The promotional poster below was first shared on Twitter by executive producer Marc Guggenheim, and it is for the most part rather excellent. Obviously a whole lot of the emphasis is put here on the term “Aim Higher,” which is mostly an indication of the evolution of both the show and this character.
We know that at least in terms of names, this could be the most comic-book-like season that we have seen so far. Arrow is now the Green Arrow, Starling City is now Star City, and we even now have Speedy running about. Add to this Damien Darhk, and it may be a dream for many longtime fans of DC comics, even if there are a few little differences here and there such as Oliver’s romance with Felicity and the presence of Diggle, a character who has been added to the comics because of his popularity on the show. That’s a right twist, right?
At first, we actually thought that the photo below was identical to the one that had been released previously of Oliver in his new outfit (see above); however, we’ve come to realize that the placement of the bow and the angle of the face are each a little bit different. Everything else is more or less the same, as the message conveyed here is simple: Get out of the way.
