‘America’s Got Talent’ results preview: Will Drew Lynch, the CraigLewis Band, Benton Blount advance?
There were eleven different acts who performed on “America’s Got Talent” Tuesday night, but by the time the end of Wednesday night’s results show is here, there will only be five who make it through to the finale. It’s not entirely clear if the Dunkin’ Save is still in play on the show, but it does seem like the judges are now powerless, and America will be the ones who decide who make it through solely on the power of their votes.
The first thing that we should do here is look at the acts who are for sure heading home: Ira went at the start of the and was criticized, and Metal Mulisha Fitz Army has been eliminated once already. Those two were easy.
Meanwhile, we feel like Arielle Baril (who performed last) and comedian Drew Lynch are probably as close to locks as locks can be based on the performances that we saw tonight. That narrows the field to seven remaining acts, and only three more spots.
The “bubble group” is comprised of Benton Blount, Siro-A, Mountain Faith Band, Derek Hughes, Oz Pearlman, Samantha Johnson, and the CraigLewis Band, and it’s clear looking at that group that some favorites will be sent home. If we had to predict right now, we’d probably say that Benton, the CraigLewis Band, and then by a hair Siro-A have the edge. We feel like maybe Oz and Derek will cancel each other out slightly, Samantha went a little too early in the show, and that this may hurt the Mountain Faith Band, as well. They are the one who we feel could still topple Siro-A, though, since these small-town groups with relatable Southern charm tend to do well on the show.
