‘Hannibal’ season 4: Hugh Dancy makes his hopes to return very clear
We feel like it is pretty well-known already that Hugh Dancy would be willing to return to “Hannibal” for more or less as long as the show stays on the air. Why wouldn’t he? There are many reasons to want to, just starting from the vantage point of quality alone. This is one of the best things on network TV the past few years, and Will Graham is such an intense, morally complex character. His magnetic relationship with Hannibal more often than not clouds what would otherwise be his judgment.
Sometimes, it is nice to just have such comments come from Dancy’s own lips, and this is what we have courtesy of the comment below courtesy of Entertainment Weekly:
“I would definitely be up for it, for sure. Partially because I think everybody enjoyed working on the show, but also specifically because what [Fuller] described sounded like so much fun. Whether it will happen is a different question.”
Whether or not it will happen is something we could be waiting years to find an answer to. While things are not looking too great for the show right now, one of the things to remember is that in this age, nothing has to stay dead forever. “Arrested Development” was dead for years before its resurrection, and even “Prison Break” is coming back to Fox after having an ending that was far more definitive than what “Hannibal” had. Ultimately, there are always ways to come back if the passion and the support from very rich people is present.
