‘Bachelor in Paradise 2′ spoilers: On Jade Roper, Tanner Tolbert, and other couples’ future

Since we’ve spent a significant chunk of this week talking about “Bachelor in Paradise” through the lens of some of the fighting that has taken place, isn’t there a good time to actually discuss a little bit of the romance? There are still some successful couples at the moment in Paradise, and we’re waiting to see just how they end up shaping up. Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert are one of the more prominent ones, but so are Carly Waddell and Kirk DeWindt. Both of these pairs have been effectively together since the beginning of the show.

Will one of these couples break up before the end of the season, or potentially one of the pairs formed after that? Show host Chris Harrison is not saying, but he did tell TV Guide that there is some further trouble coming up before the season comes to a close:

“Right now they’re solid, but if we’ve learned anything, things can change quickly in Paradise. Things seem serene with all the couples, but that will not remain. And there are more new arrivals coming to shake things up.”

While we are not altogether confident in the long-term future of every couple on this show, we feel like at least one or two by season’s end will try to make things work in real life after the show. Maybe we’ll get an engagement, but we don’t really have the sort of confidence that they will stay together long-term. That’s not a statement meant to disrespect anyone in the process; it’s just hard to be that realistic that couples who are only together for a few weeks are going to make it down the altar.
