‘Chicago Fire’ season 4 spoilers: First promo teases ‘Chicago PD’ crossover, Casey drama

At the end of “Chicago Fire” season 3, we had what was one of the craziest endings to a finale possible. Not only did we learn that Dawson was pregnant, but Casey was missing! The events of much of his storyline had come back to bite him in a big way, and come October 13, the members of Firehouse 51 are going to need some help to track him down.

As the first promo for season 4 reveals below, Jason Beghe is going to be coming over as Voight to help in the investigation, which we imagine will be sprawling and dangerous. Is it safe to assume that Casey gets out of it alive? Probably if for no other reason than that the rest of the show would be really depressing without him being present.

Eventually, we could see Dawson and Casey doing everything that they can in an effort to make a relationship work now that there could be a child on the way, but why exactly is Casey considering making it work? Is it because he cares about her, or because he wants to do the right thing for a child? These are questions that will be eventually asked.

Just in case you are wondering with “Chicago PD” starting earlier on September 30, that show is not going to touch on the Casey drama until “Chicago Fire” starts off. Thankfully, they are creating a timeline in such a way that a spin-off show doesn’t ruin things for those who are only watching the flagship.
