‘The X Factor’ UK: Nick Grimshaw wants Miley Cyrus for judges’ houses
While we’re not entirely sure that Nick Grimshaw is going to get Miley Cyrus for the upcoming judges’ houses phase of “The X Factor” UK, that is clearly not stopping him from at least putting some feelers out there and making it clear that he would like to work with her in some capacity.
Speaking to the Sunday Times’ Culture magazine recently, the DJ turned judge for the ITV singing competition did a good job of summarizing what Miley does really well in the industry:
“She is an amazing person … She understands how to work the media completely. Yeah, she does silly things … But she’s not overly sexualized, she doesn’t slag people off, and she’s had boyfriends and girlfriends – I like that.
“I went to her dressing room after a show, and she was twerking with all her friends and showing everyone her arse and sticking it on Instagram, because that’s what 21-year-olds do. They don’t care.”
We do understand that it is easy to hate on Miley, but the one thing that we’ll say about her is this: Despite all of her antics, have you ever seen her in legitimate trouble with law enforcement, or doing anything that gets her criticized by human rights’ groups? The answer to that is no. She is very good at being controversial, but so much of it does feel like she knows what she is doing. It’s similar in some ways to Madonna or Lady Gaga, who know how to get attention without crossing the line and doing anything that is too extreme.
