‘Chasing Life’ season 2, episode 8 preview: April lashes out at Dom

It’s been pretty clear that in one way or another on “Chasing Life,” Dom is still holding a romantic flame for April. The problem for him is that April does not seem altogether willing to carry those feelings in return, and she is certainly not interested in romance of any kind after the death of her husband Leo.

The video sneak peek below is a reminder for April of a variety of different things, primarily that Leo and Dom did not like each other. They even got in a fight at a bar! So why in the world did Dom show up for the funeral, or then pay April a visit? His explanation to her is that he is just trying to figure out a way to make himself feel better after everything that has transpired, but we think there’s a lot more behind it.

So, is April right to a certain extent about this? We feel like it is much more complicated than April is perceiving at the moment. We do think that Dom cares for her, but he has no sense of timing and had no sense of how to handle Leo being in the picture. It’s possible that she doesn’t really mean that she wants him to go away for good or that she has minimized their history in the way that she claims to; this is just not the right time or place to discuss that.

Ultimately, we don’t think that Dom is going to go away, but he does want to ever fix things between himself and April, he’s going to need to be patient. Not only that, but he will need to figure out how to be around her without reminding her of his history with the man she loved.
