‘Celebrity Big Brother’ gets logo for UK – USA showdown; new cast rumors

Remember how excited many people were for the upcoming season of “Celebrity Big Brother”? Well, be prepared to let a little bit of air out of your tires. The new season is starting up on Thursday, and the reported cast is really, once again, a room full of duds (provided the rumored cast via The Sun turns out to be true).

Despite the theme being UK vs. USA this year, the show somehow still could not manage to get too many celebrities aboard we have actually heard of. One of them in Daniel Baldwin is only famous to us because of his brother Alec and because of his extensive history in reality TV already. Meanwhile, another is Janice Dickinson, who at least has some qualifications as a big-time model but really is known more now for reality TV arguments. Throw in another couple models and then a heap of people known for a certain adult-oriented industry, and you have the lineup.

Here’s the funny thing: Despite us being American, we’re actually more familiar with Stevi Ritchie and Chloe Jasmine from “The X Factor” than anyone from our own country. The rest of the Brits are complete mysteries to us, but you can check them out at OK! Magazine and see for yourself.

Unfortunately, we don’t think that the lack of A-level celebrity talent is ever really going to change much for the series. The show has a limited budget, and it costs money to get big names that want to be locked up in a house for weeks. The series probably couldn’t afford many of the people they wanted, or these people just didn’t want to spend weeks cut away from the outside world.

We’ll have some more news at some point when it comes to this season, so stay tuned.
