‘Switched at Birth’ season 4, episode 11 preview: Bay and Travis talk things out

At the end of the first half of “Switched at Birth” season 4, there were clearly some tough times for Bay and Emmett. The two characters split up, which of course leaves a good percentage of their lives in peril as they try to figure out where this leaves them moving forward into the weeks ahead without each other.

One valuable question is simply what happens now when it comes to their friends, and this is what the sneak peek below is really all about. Travis comments that he is in a very weird position given that he is friends with both people, and doesn’t want to choose sides or ruffle any feathers. Eventually, the hope here is that this starts to become much easier than it is at the moment, but we’re clearly not at this point just yet.

Is there anyone else out there a little curious to see if something happens between Bay and Travis? We’re not sure that we want to see it, but at the same time you cannot really ignore some of the storytelling possibilities that do come along with it. If these two characters hook up, for example, what would happen with Emmett? Also, there’s the whole history with Daphne that would make things even more complicated.

For now, though, we’re going to approach this scene as just two people with a long-standing friendship, trying to figure out what happens for them next. We’ll be back with more coverage after this episode airs.
