‘Big Brother 17’ review: An eviction, jury house, and an endurance Head of Household Competition (live updates)

BeckyThere’s a whole lot going on with “Big Brother 17” tonight, as we say goodbye (for now) to a houseguest, go to the jury house, and also get a chance to see the beginnings of the next Head of Household Competition. This is going to be fun!

As always with the Thursday eviction show, we’re going to bring you updates as the night goes on … starting with Julie Chen. Did she really say that about Liz and Austin at the start of the show? Julie’s getting feisty and we like it!

After the Veto – There was some really great stuff in here, both strategically and in terms of comedy. Watching James mess with Meg and Steve is priceless, and we’re really pulling for him to win. We don’t think he is the best strategist of all time, but he is very funny.

As for Johnny Mac, he got an alliance going with Steve, Austin, and the Twins. Becky basically tried to do the real thing. Ultimately, the main objective for everyone seems to be in theory targeting Vanessa … but we’ll wait to see whether or not that happens.

Steve jury segment – Steve’s a sweet, relatable kid, and good on him for getting a family segment … even though it wasn’t that compelling. We’d rather see at this point Austin and Liz’s family mocking their relationship or something.

The vote – It’s no surprise that Becky was sent home unanimously. We did love John’s speech, which was basically trolling everyone over how useless he is in the house. She had a pretty good exit interview with Julie, one where she showed some personality and was pretty nice to Steve, which is funny since he acted like she was his straight-up nemesis in the game.

Head of Household Competition – It’s a cool track-themed competition. Head over here for more updates!
