‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Did Vanessa try to flip the vote?

Given the law of averages, it felt obvious that eventually we were going to see Vanessa try to do something to shake up and stir up the “Big Brother 17” game before the live show Thursday … even though in this case it really did not last for a particularly long time.

So what did she try to do? Basically, she unleashed a storm of paranoia on the other players about Becky’s toe injury, and how it may be better to keep around around since she could be easier to beat. There is some speculation that the next Head of Household Competition is endurance based on the amount of time they are being kept out of the backyard, and if she’s not better before then, she could be weak.

However, a good counter-argument to Vanessa’s point here is simple: She could be making the injury worse than it is. We’ve seen the toe so we know that there are some problems there, and if we’re honest, we don’t think she would be one to fake it. After all, this is someone whose strategy has seemed to be to just take her lumps this week and then try to re-enter the game a little bit later.

The fact that Austin later told Johnny Mac about Vanessa discussing the idea of flipping the vote should tell you all that you need to know about that not happening, and also about what Austin is trying to do strategically. He knows that pitting Vanessa (who Austin claims is going to throw HoH) against John helps to keep himself and the twins safe.
