‘Big Brother 17’ spoilers: Talking potential Head of Household plans
We like to keep our trend of writing multiple “Big Brother” updates a day going strong, but the contestants this season are not making it particularly easy to do this at the moment. This is what happens when you’ve got a group of people whose idea of fun on Wednesday night is playing bowling with soda bottles. (Sure, Vanessa tried to flip the vote for a minute or two to no avail.)
So what we did think would be fun in this article is taking a quick look at all of the players still in the game, and speculating a little on the subject of what would / could happen in the event that they rise to power Thursday night as Head of Household. We’re assuming for now that Becky is being evicted, since that is still the plan as per the information on the feeds.
Julia / Austin – Either Vanessa or James. They talk a bit game about wanting to target Vanessa, but we’re not seeing a whole lot of evidence at this particular moment that they are going to actually go through with it. We’ll believe it when we see it, but they seem interested in taking Johnny Mac as the new Vanessa.
We should note that Austin really doesn’t seem that interested in winning, at least in the event that a situation comes up where someone else he trusts can.
Steve – Steve also doesn’t seem to be interested in winning, and we really think he would target James and Meg if he did. John may want to cut bait on Vanessa, but Steve thinks that he could beat her in the end.
Vanessa – This would be fun. Our gut tells us that she would maybe at first go after Johnny Mac, but if he wins the Veto or if she stops to think about going far into the game with Austin and the Twins, she could go after one of them.
James / Meg – James has expressed some uncertainty about Steve, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he targets both him and Vanessa. Meg, however, may be there to help remind James that while they have this Brass Tacks deal with Austin and the twins, are you going to let them make it to the top 7 without harm? The only way you run into possibly not getting one of them out is if you nominate both of them, and then the one you don’t nominate wins the Veto.
Johnny Mac – Right now, we’re saying Vanessa because he simply doesn’t like being in the house with her. If she wins the Veto, he could be swayed in many ways.

Steve, from my knowledge, doesn’t really have an alliance. He’s been coaching Johnny Mac recently. I think the prime targets so far have been James, Vanessa and at times Johnny Mac- but the threats are most definitely the Autwins.
