‘The Good Wife’ season 7 spoilers: The Presidential race just got real
When “The Good Wife” season 7 premieres on CBS, it appears as though there is one thing you can definitely expect to see: A very different twist on the Presidential election. Why is that? Typically, most shows go the fictional route in trying to relay events like this, but this is not what the CBS series is doing at all!
According to TVLine, the series is actually going to have Peter run against Hillary Clinton for President on the season coming up, even though we highly doubt that you will ever see the former First Lady / Secretary of State in person. Still, it’s a bold choice, and the show is planning to go about events almost in real-time. They will have their version of the Iowa Caucus, for example, around the same time as the real one.
Of course, there are many ways that this could get all the more complicated, and executive producer Robert King tells the website that one of them could be Vice-President Joe Biden deciding to get into the race (if he does, in fact, decide to do that):
“The difficult thing for us is we started writing these scripts in June, so you’re always kind of guessing where things are going … And we’re stunned in politics how things change overnight. We’re not sure if Biden will enter the race at this point. We have the ability to ADR some lines in if that’s necessary, but we’re kind of playing the betting game at this point.”
