‘Secrets and Lies’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Witches of East End’ alum officially joins cast

The cast for the second season of ABC’s “Secrets and Lies” just continues to expand, and today, we’re talking a little bit about an extra-enchanting new addition to the cast.

According to a new report from TVLine, former “Witches of East End” star Eric Winter has signed on tot he show in the important role of Neal Oliver. He is the best friend of Eric Warner (Michael Ealy), a man who is going to be at the center of the entire season. The death of his wife (Jordana Brewster) is going to be what brings Cornell (Juliette Lewis) into his world, as suspects are going to mount almost immediately.

What complicates this case all the more are all of its far-reaching implications. Warner is set to take over a firm that was set up by his father (Terry O’Quinn), who is approaching retirement. This could all come to a halt as the investigation intensifies.

One thing that the show has done an especially great job at over the past month or two as many of these casting announcements have become public is that they have really not tipped their hand one way or another as to who could be good, or who could be evil. They’ve just continued to keep it as ambiguous as humanly possible. This in turn helps to keep everything as much of a mystery as possible.
