‘Under the Dome’ season 3 spoilers: A race against time
The third season of “Under the Dome” is starting to wind down, and by the time you get to the September 3 episode entitled “Incandescence,” what we could see is one of the craziest hours of TV we have seen to date. We’re getting near the end of the story of the Dome itself, the residents of Chester’s Mill are going to have to do just about everything that they can in order to survive.
CBS released the synopsis for this episode a little earlier this week, and you can check out some other news all about it below:
“When the Dome’s calcification process accelerates, Chester’s Mill has 24 hours before the barrier’s breakdown will suffocate everyone inside. While the new deadline puts added pressure on Joe to bring the Dome down, Barbie and Julia race to save his child from The Kinship. Also, Big Jim tries to manage the increasingly volatile Hektor (Eriq La Salle), who is adamant that infected townspeople never escape the Dome.”
So how exactly could this show work without the Dome around? We can imagine there being at least some interest in seeing how the outside world has really changed while these characters have been trapped, and they could have some serious problems trying to acclimate themselves to society and feeling normal again. In our mind, for some reason we are already drawing up some comparisons between this show and “The Leftovers.”
