‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: Charlotte Ross will return as Donna Smoak
According to TVLine, Charlotte Ross will return as Felicity Smoak’s mother Donna, and the only reason we long expected to hear this is because she became such an overwhelming fan favorite in her previous appearances on the show. She’s such a different character from Felicity in so many ways, and yet she does have that loving personality that you would want any mother on the show to have. For the most part, we are lucky to know about the family lives of many of these characters. We haven’t seen much of Diggle’s childhood, and maybe that is the one avenue we could explain a little more at some point in the future.
Specifically Ross will turn back up in the sixth episode of season 4, which means that by the time she turns up, we are going to get a chance to see Sara Lance’s resurrection and the appearance of John Constantine to go along with it. There’s clearly a lot of great stuff ahead!
As for what everyone wants to see with Donna at this point, we know there are some out there who ‘ship her with Captain Lance, but we don’t have a sense as to whether or not that is going to happen. We’re not actually sure that there is too big of a need to really ever meet her father; we know that some out there want it, but we don’t really see what could come out of it. As long as it’s not revealed that Damien Darhk is her dad or something (way too convenient), we’ll be okay.
