‘Mistresses’ season 3 finale spoilers: First details on ‘Goodbye Girl’

Could the September 3 episode of “Mistresses” entitled “Goodbye Girl” actually serve as the series finale for the show? That is at least a possibility that we have to consider at the moment. The ratings are not particularly great, and as fun as the show is, there is probably a certain point when ABC has to decide whether or not they want to prioritize delivering a really fun show, or making money. Let’s just hope that we’re not at that point.

What we have for you now are some of the first real details from this episode, which you can see an ABC press release a little bit earlier Monday:

“Just as Joss [experiences a big change], Harry is presented with an exciting new job opportunity that will impact a future with her. As soon as Scotty leaves Los Angeles, Marc disappears, causing April to finally realize her true feelings. Vivian‘s illness takes a turn for the worse, leaving Karen adrift and unsure of the future. Joss receives a confusing gift from Calista but when she denies sending it, Joss is sent down the rabbit hole to find out if the real killer might be on the loose.”

Let’s hope that if nothing else, Luca’s killer is revealed this season. That is the sort of cliffhanger that would be terrible to never get resolved if the show does end. As for such things as Joss and Harry and April’s feelings, these are stories we can create suitable endings for in our head if we never get one on the show.
