‘Falling Skies’ season 5, episode 9 preview: ‘Reunion’ is beginning of the end for Noah Wyle, cast
We are almost now to the complete end of the road for “Falling Skies.” Next week’s “Reunion” is the penultimate episode of the series, and there is certainly going to be plenty of violence, surprise attacks, and preparation for what is a fully engrossing final chapter that will hopefully provide you with at least some sort of hope. We’ve said time and time again that this does need something to hang its hat on when it comes to this in the end, and we can only hope that this episode provides that.
Before we do too much else for now, let’s start this article by sharing the official synopsis courtesy of TNT:
“Tom gains a powerful new weapon against the Espheni. Ben puts his life on the line to extract enemy plans. Pope discovers that Tom is alive, and launches a final attack. Meanwhile, the 2nd Mass must reassess their situation when an unexpected visitor appears.”
What is really going to get you hyped up right now is watching the promo below, which features Tom more or less questioning his own existence while an enormous ship comes out from the sea. With the arrival of a Queen, things are about to get potentially so much worse, and survival becomes a ticking clock. We have some faith the in 2nd Mass still; they’ve been underdogs every step of the way so far, and that is not changing.
If there is anything that you do want to see on the next new episode of “Falling Skies,” let us know in the comments!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pointless.
They just decided to drag out a rather aimless story that leaves viewers wondering why we bothered to watch this crap.

Yep – I’ve pretty much been hate watching this since Season 2. Predictable plots, hackneyed story lines, characters I couldn’t care less about, and terrible science fiction. The decline in quality perfectly matches the decline in effort remaining to tough it out, so I’ll probably watch the last two episodes out of obligation. Maybe the writers will finally pull their heads out of their asses? Nah.
The Last Ship plays on the same patriotic Dudley Do Right tropes, but at least it’s *fun*.

Ha ha you make me laugh. If it is so bad then why have you watched it all these years?
You then go to the trouble of writing this comment for a show you don’t like but have watched every episode.
Enjoy!!!!

The first season was promising and there really wasn’t anything else in the genre worth watching. IIRC there was Defiance which was much worse and I bailed on it after the first season. After the second season I thought maybe it will get better. The third and 4th failed to deliver. Now I’m really only watching out of a need for completion. Only an hour and 30 minutes of this dreck left.

Exactly the same with me. I watched in hopes of it eventually making some degree of sense. Now I just watching because there’s nothing else and I want to see how it ends when it does end.
