‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Using potential buyback as strategy
Here’s the interesting thing about “Big Brother 17” at the moment: Everyone is assuming 100% that the buyback twist is happening. Julie Chen has said “just because you’re sent to jury doesn’t mean you’re out of the game” (or something like that), but is that really supposed to be confirmation that someone is coming back? We do think it is going to happen based on some of the math that we just ran in our head with the show’s remaining schedule, but at the same time it’s remarkable just how much this is being used right now as a strategy.
We have to give a lot of the credit to Austin for this at the moment; we don’t exactly find him likable, but he is a better player than many are giving him credit for. His argument for evicting Becky, and one that will probably stick until the eviction show Thursday, is that allowing her to remain in the house along with a Shelli / Jackie return would be problematic. It’s decent logic, and since he’s got Julia and Steve on his side, this vote is locked in. It’s hard to see any of them flipping.
Of course, here’s where things get a little bit funny: Johnny Mac would probably be just as likely to work with any returning player. He’s just a little bit better at hiding his true allegiance. John for now is just doing what he can in order to survive being on the block; she and Steve have talked a little bit already about throwing the next Head of Household Competition, mostly since the two sides of the house can go after each other.
Oh, and a good reason to target James next week is because that really limits the power of any person against the Scamper Squad / Austin’s Angels if a buyback competition happens.
