ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8 spoilers: Clues within the latest episode title
The moment that we heard that the title for the “Castle” season 8 premiere was “XY,” there were of course many questions that surfaced. What was this meant to represent? The obvious answer was an XY-chromosome (which means male), but there is no real context here to figure this into the story further … at least until now.
As first reported by SpoilerTV, the title of the show’s second episode is “XX,” and suddenly everything is starting to come a little bit more together. We’ve heard that the first two episodes are going to be like companion pieces in a way, as they each take a very specific perspective on a series of important events. Our feeling is that Castle is going to be the focus of the premiere, while Beckett will take center stage in the second episode.
As for one of the major events, the biggest bit of information we can offer right now is that it is probably tied in some way to Beckett becoming a Captain, and some of the changes that come with that. She is now going to be in charge in so much more than she ever was before, and there will be ways that her relationship with Rick changes, since they won’t be literal partners with one another on the force anymore.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that these changes have to be bad all the way around. Sometimes change can be good, and we envision that there are going to be some good things that come out of putting these characters in a very different sort of environment.

I think the XY and XX in the titles of the first two episodes means that Beckett is pregnant and having twins and each episode is about what first Castle thinks about it and the second is from Beckett’s point of view on her pregnancy .I hope so .WE SHALL SEE !

If you read Alexi Hawley’s interview on the EW it is explained in as much detail without giving away the entire plot.
