‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: Updates from Lana Parrilla, Ginnifer Goodwin, more at D23 Expo

For the most part, Disney’s D23 Expo this weekend has revolved for the most part around big movie reveals. We’ve heard quite a bit about comic-book adaptations and “Star Wars” movies, but tonight, the news is all about “Once Upon a Time.” Executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis are present for the panel tonight alongside stars Lana Parrilla and Ginnifer Goodwin. We’re going to be updating this article as some more news from the show comes out.

Let’s start with the opening of the panel (which ran about 50 or so minutes late): A video that featured Goodwin giving a behind-the-scenes look at how the show comes together. Sure, it’s nothing newsworthy when it comes to season 5, but it is rather nice to get some added insight, and it is a nice little gift for the fans who waited for this.

When a video aired giving you a peek into Mr. Gold’s shop, there is one object that stands out immediately: A certain rose, encased and made very famous by the “Beauty and the Beast” animated feature film.

The panel ended with a brief tease of the upcoming September 27 premiere, but we would say that for the most part it really was not as eventful as some of you out there may have thought or hoped that it would be in terms of new information. Sure, there was fun tidbits including Parrilla singing a part of “Poor Unfortunate Soul,” but such things as Prince Charming having a bit of bromance with King Arther are things that have already been teased.
