‘Under the Dome’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Love is a Battlefield’ brings us close to the end
Given that we do not know yet what the future is going to hold for “Under the Dome,” what we can say for now is this: Every episode is important, and could bring us close to finally understanding better some of the show’s long-simmering mysteries (and there have definitely been plenty of them).
An episode that is going to bring us a little bit closer to this ending (and potentially the dome being removed from Chester’s Mill) is “Love is a Battlefield,” which airs on August 27. We hope that this is an installment about so much more than a cool song reference, and luckily the synopsis below seems to indicate that it will be:
“Members of The Resistance race to release their loved ones from Christine’s (Marg Helgenberger) influence before she reaches her end game for the Dome. While Barbie risks everything in an attempt to free Eva from the Kinship, Big Jim and Julia are enlisted by Hektor (Eriq La Salle), the head of Aktaion, to test a possible cure for infected townspeople. Also, Joe chooses to work with Christine after she shares some shocking information about the entity behind the Dome.”
The interesting thing at this point is that while there are battle lines, there are still no guarantee that either side is going to win … or at least out of this unscathed. There is an element of excitement, but to be fair there’s also a little bit of confusion with it. This is a show that has made its living being a little all-over-the-place in recent years.
