Teen Choice Awards 2015: ‘The Flash’s’ Grant Gustin, ‘X Factor’ alum win early awards
Tomorrow, we’re going to be around at length to discuss the 2015 Teen Choice Awards airing on Fox, but in anticipation of this happening, the awards decided apparently that it would be a fun idea to list out a few of the winners in advance.
One of the biggest names announced today was a favorite around this part in Grant Gustin, who won the Choice TV: Breakout Star award for his role on “The Flash.” Gustin beat out several other people for the prize including show co-host Gina Rodriguez and his fellow co-star Candice Patton, and he is celebrating the win in Vancouver, where the show is currently filming its second season. In some ways, the timing of the awards show is one of the reason why there are not always too many TV names in attendance. Many of them are off working on new episodes to premiere in the fall.
Just one other quick bit of news here for people who are enormous fans of “The X Factor”: Former USA series star Beatrice Miller (who now goes by Bea Miller) won the Choice Music: Next Big Thing award. We really haven’t listened to many of her songs since the show aired years ago, but it’s interesting to see that Fifth Harmony is not the only alum from the competition to be making waves now in the industry.
For those of you who are here mostly because of Grant and “The Flash,” one simple reminder: That series returns to The CW on Tuesday, October 6.
Are you happy for Grant? Sound off now in the comments.
