‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: Recovering from the Barbara crisis

When it comes to the character of Leslie Thompkins on “Gotham” at the moment, what we may have here is a case of good news and bad news. The great news is that when season 2 picks back up, she can at least assured that she is going to continue to be in a relationship with Jim Gordon.

As for the bad news, there could be many stumbling blocks again. We cannot imagine that Jim is in the best place of his life right now; he is not that happy with where he is within the GCPD, and it probably does have to mess him up to a certain degree that a woman he had romantic feelings for turned out to be a brutal, merciless killer who is now in Arkham Asylum. It’s only understandable that there are aftereffects as a result of all this.

When it comes to Leslie specifically, Morena Baccarin tells Entertainment Weekly that she is “a little rattled with what happened with the whole Barbara situation. [She and Gordon are] trying to stay steady. It’s good right now, but it seems like there might be some trouble ahead.”

How much trouble? That is hard to gauge right now, but given that Baccarin is a series regular, we don’t imagine she will be going anywhere in the near future.
