‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ preview: The latest on Vicki Gunvalson, Brooks Ayers
We have had a really great deal of fun writing these “Real Housewives of Orange County” previews through most of the season, largely for the reason that this is really such a silly show, and there’s some great enjoyment that comes from just poking fun of some of its various eccentricities. Take, for example, people fighting over someone being called a “pot-stirrer” in the midst of one of the greatest golf-cart rides ever. (It really felt more like a race.)
Monday night’s new episode, however, will at least focus in part on a more serious topic as Brooks Ayers makes a decision in his cancer battle to try a different form of treatment. It is something he explains further in the sneak peek below to Vicki Gunvalson and the other women. After trying so long taking a chemotherapy-based approach, he feels ready to try something else and will see what happens.
Obviously, we wish him the best; no matter how much any one person may annoy us on this show at any given time, we wouldn’t wish anything bad on them.
For some other news about this episode, just take a look at the attached synopsis below:
“Back in the OC, Shannon and David discover that disciplining their kids is easier said than done. Vicki learns that Brooks has made a life altering decision, to stop chemo and try a radical new approach. Meanwhile, Tamra’s psychic makes a shocking claim leaving the ladies in disbelief.”

WAIT! That read – after taking a chemotherapy “based” approach. What the hell does that mean? What is chemotherapy based? Either Brooks had chemo or he didn’t! The way this is worded suggests that Brooks had some kind of treatment based on chemotherapy but not actual chemotherapy!

If blasting your body with antioxidants cured cancer no one would die from lymphoma! Brooks is the sleeziest of sleezes. Vicki is dumb as a box of rocks if she buys this BS!

Now Brooks is saying that he’s had cancer for 5 years?! I don’t believe a word of it. I said from the beginning that Brooks would eventually claim that alternative medicines cured him! This man does not have cancer!

I pray for him it works, but something just is not adding up here, and why would he have to explain this to Vicki when supposedly she goes to every appointment with him.?

Vicki originally said that she had never been to the doctors with him but that she had been to his chemo treatment. But in another episode she said that she felt bad because every time Brooks was scheduled for chemo that she had to be out of town. I missed her saying that she went to his doctors appointments. Brooks had stated on twitter in May that he hadn’t had chemo since January! So what treatment is he getting?! I know that Brooks also said that he was looking into holistic treatment but if Shannon is seeing the most world renowned holistic healer in the region and she’s gotten Brooks foot in the door, why hasn’t Brooks attempted to set up an appointment? None of it rings true to me.

Oh it’ll work because that’s part of his plan! Its all a lie! None of what Brooks says about his cancer adds up to me! He’s said on more than one occassion that the doctors wanted him to do 3 rounds of chemo. That threw me for a loop because the most common initial treatment for stageIII B cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma is 6 cycles of chemo not 3! Now he discloses that he’s had cancer for 5 years and has been in remission for 3 years but the cancer has come back exactly the same as before. I call BS on Brooks and his cancer scheme.
