‘Prison Break’ revival: Could Sara be a part of it?
It was just a mere matter of days ago still that Fox confirmed that they are officially bringing back “Prison Break,” which is something that so many people out there probably thought would never actually happen. The show’s been off the air for so long, but the parties involved have figured out a way to get the story back.
For now, Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell are the only two cast members confirmed to be coming back, which is mostly interesting because of the sole fact that Miller’s Michael was (spoiler alert) seemingly dead at the end of the original series. Yet, stranger things have happened when it comes to TV.
So what about Michael’s wife Sara? It certainly makes sense that Sarah Wayne Callies would come back to play the part, but as she told TVLine while promoting her upcoming USA Network series “Colony” at the TCA Summer Press Tour, she has not spoken to anyone about returning as of yet:
“No one’s asked me yet, so I don’t know … If we can find a way to honor [Sara and Michael] by telling a beautiful continuing story — and my bosses [on Colony] let me do another show — I would love to. There is such a long list of things that are out of my hands, but my heart is very, very excited about it.”
One of the biggest challenges for this series seems to be already figuring out a filming schedule. Remember here that Miller and Purcell are also cast members of The CW’s “Legends of Tomorrow,” and Robert Knepper, if he returns, has a big role ahead on “iZombie.” Some people are going to be working crazy hours if this series comes back.
