‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ spoilers: Matt Bomer explains role of Donovan

AHSThere are many people to look forward to seeing on “American Horror Story: Hotel,” and at the moment we would probably rank Matt Bomer somewhere very high on the list. He is a guy who has perpetually made smart choices, and it also helps that he appeared on two of our favorite TV shows ever in “Chuck” and “White Collar.”

So who is he playing here? You’ve probably heard a hint or two about this already, but it is always rather nice to hear it in the actor’s own words. Therefore, take a look below at what Bomer had to say in a chat with TV Guide about the show:

“I play Donovan, who is a resident of the Hotel Cortez. Probably, who you initially see him with is Lady Gaga’s character, Stefani’s character, and also his mother, Iris, played by Kathy Bates. [It’s] a very conflicted relationship, and that relationship sort of informs his other relationships with women.”

First of all, we kind of love the fact that Bomer refers to Gaga by her real first name, since it suggests a level of friendship and personal connection, which is rather nice given that the two are really only starting to work together now. We also know that Gaga’s character (Elizabeth) is going to be pursued by several others on the show, including Finn Wittrock’s model character, and she will have a romantic history with Angela Bassett.

The new season will officially begin on October 7, so production has its work cut out for it trying to make the opening episodes ready.
