‘MasterChef’ season 6, episode 14 preview: All eyes on Tommy

Through the early portion of “MasterChef” season 6, Tommy was not anywhere near the top on anyone’s leaderboard. He struggled to find his footing in the competition, and there were times that he looked in danger of going home.

Since that time, however, it has started to feel a little bit as though things have changed. He has started to rise to the top with some of his Cajun-inspired cooking, and it’s almost like he has found that right balance of technical ability and aesthetics that he was struggling with earlier this season.

However, the preview below makes it look like he will struggle with being a leader for the first time during a Team Challenge. Many of his fellow contestants on his team (which seems to be Steven, Katrina, and Nick) struggle to get his attention and get on the same page. We feel like this is a challenge that everyone should want to win, if for no other reason than that the Pressure Test involves animal heads. Granted, they don’t know that at the time they are doing this team challenge, but we’re still somewhat horrified about it. We’re especially horrified for Hetal if she has to do that.

For those of you out there who are trying to figure out specific winners and losers from this promo (we know you all exist!), we’d tell you that it’s not worth trying, since there are a couple of little pieces of this that will confuse you. The show may be using a little bit of old footage in here to throw you off the scent.
