‘Celebrity Big Brother’ spoilers: New trailer; Chloe Jasmine, Stevi Ritchie, Hulk Hogan rumors

The new season of “Celebrity Big Brother” is set to begin on the UK’s Channel 5 on August 27, we are starting already to get a sense of just who the series would like to bring on board this year. For some evidence of at least the theme, you don’t have to look any further than the promo below!

In this video (which feels very much like a monster truck rally), the show teases a showdown between the United States and the United Kingdom. This idea does seem like a natural evolution for the series, if for no other reason than that we’ve been building towards something a little more in this vein for several years now. There has been an American winner, so why not just present half of an American cast?

We’ve already heard several rumored names, with Janice Dickinson being among them alongside wrestler Hulk Hogan. Hogan in particular could be someone in need of a little bit of an image clean-up after some leaked comments from a phone call made years ago.

We should say that we have even heard rumors about Kathy Griffin who has taken part in twists on the American version of the show and currently does not have any tour dates listed between August 23 and October 8. The most recent version of the season lasted for 31 days, so the timing works out (though she also seems a little too famous for this show).

On the British side, two names we continue to hear are Chloe Jasmine and Stevi Ritchie from “The X Factor.” We rather like this couple and we find them great fun, so we’d be cool with them being on this show. Also, “Celebrity Big Brother” has been good for former contestants. Just as Rylan Clark.
