‘American Horror Story; Hotel’ spoilers: Lily Rabe’s role revealed

For those of you who have been curious for some time as to who Lily Rabe was going to be playing on the upcoming “American Horror Story: Hotel,” we are now thrilled to provide some sort of answer for you. Let’s start this article off with the confirmation about when the longtime series star (recently on “The Whispers”) will be appearing for the first time:

“We’re doing a two-part, well, we always do a two-part Halloween episode, but our Halloween episode this year is called ‘Devil’s Night.’ I’m directing it because I love the script so much, when we finished it I said, ‘I can’t give this to anybody else.’ Lily Rabe is coming to that episode. And she’s playing Aileen Wuornos, which is really fun and bizarre. I don’t want to give too much away but I will tell you that she’s at the centerpiece of that.”

For those who do not know Wuornos, she was a serial killer who took the life of seven men between 1989 and 1990, and claimed that all of the times that she killed were in self-defense while working as a prostitute. Eventually she was sentenced to death for her crimes and was executed by lethal injection in 2002. Clearly, this is a pretty messed-up character, but it was revealed some time ago that Rabe was going to play some sort of real-life character.

As for how Wuornos works into the story of this show, that is a great question. She was known for killing in Florida, while “Hotel” is set in Los Angeles. Could this be some sort of ghostly apparition or some sort of bizarre summoning? Something outside of the ordinary seems to be coming up from this.
