‘Power’ season 2, episode 9 reaction: Who died, and does Angela know about Ghost?
Just in case you needed a reason to get the hype up to 11 for the upcoming season 2 finale of “Power,” we imagine that tonight’s installment is bringing you that in a pair of different ways.
First and foremost, let’s talk the fact that for some reason, nobody can ever let Sinqua Walls live on a show! His character died on “Teen Wolf,” Lancelot died on “Once Upon a Time,” and tonight we also lost him here as Shawn. He’s almost becoming the new Sean Bean before he got “Legends,” otherwise known as the one show that let him live.
On a different note, tonight is the night where Angela and Greg start to really realize what is going on when it comes to Jamie / Ghost being one and the same. We knew that there was only so long that he was going to be able to escape the suspicion, and the question you must ask yourself right now is rather simple: Where do we go from here? How does Ghost move forward knowing that this is going to come down on him?
Elsewhere tonight, some other important pieces of news include Tommy getting out of prison (thanks largely to a poisoning process to get Tommy pinned, which in turn cause Angela to get a harsh admonishing), Ghost trying to strike some more deals, and Tasha finally making the decision that it’s really not a great move to end up around Ghost in New York City. Sooner or later, being here is going to cause her and the kids problems. We imagine that this will be a story in the finale, but there is hardly any proof out there that it will actually work.
Right now, our prevailing emotion is anticipation. We cannot say that we’re really too shocked by anything in this episode. Even if we were to lose someone, Shawn felt like someone the series would be okay to move on without.
What did you think about tonight’s “Power”? Let us know in the comments.
