‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 7 spoilers: ‘Parks and Recreation’ alum to play Deeks’ mom

There are many questions still out there when it comes to Marty Deeks on “NCIS: Los Angeles.” As much as we personally like him, the reality is that we really do not know just a whole lot about his past.

This story is where that is changing, at least to a certain extent. According to a new report coming in right now courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, Pamela Reed is going to come on board the CBS procedural for at least one season 7 episode as Deeks’ mom. This is going to be a huge moment for the show and most importantly for Deeks and Kensi, given that opening up this part of his past to her is going to be a huge moment in the upcoming season. Here is what executive producer Shane Brennan had to say on the topic:

“It will come as a shock, but yes … Deeks does have a mother! A big moment for Kensi when they finally meet, a bigger moment for Deeks and another memorable NCIS: LA moment for the fans as we lift the veil — or in this case, the apron — on one of our much-loved characters.”

The episode featuring Reed is going to air at some point pretty early on in the season, and with that in mind, there is no need to worry about being forced to wait an extreme amount of time for this story.
