‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ spoilers: ‘Witches of East End’ alum latest addition
Who better to join a show like “American Horror Story: Hotel” than a former star of “Witches of East End”?
Today, it was confirmed via TVLine that former series star Madchen Amick will be appearing on the Ryan Murphy series, making her the second leading lady of the Lifetime series to appear. (Jenna Dewan-Tatum had a small role opposite Adam Levine in the “Asylum” season.) Based on what the executive producer told the publication, Amick is going to be spending a significant amount of time with returning “Horror Story” star Chloe Sevigny:
“She is playing the mother of a boy who becomes ill … And Chloe plays the doctor.”
Now, take a moment to admire the entire cast list for this show: Kathy Bates, Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Denis O’Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, Sevigny, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, and Finn Wittrock. Meanwhile, the guest cast includes such prominent members as the recently-announced Darren Criss, Naomi Campbell, and Max Greenfield. As per usual, Murphy gets the stars to turn out for the show.
Of course, there is still not too much known about the overall story of the show this season, other than that Bates could have an increased role as the woman in charge of the hotel, and that a variety of crazy / scary things could happen here. All indications are that this will be the scariest season of the show overall since “Murder House,” the first year of the show and arguably the best one overall.
The new season of “American Horror Story” will premiere in October, and we have a feeling that the casting news is presently far from over. Stay tuned, and if you want to get some more TV news sent over to you, sign up here for our official CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: FX.)
