‘The View’ panel defends Kelly Osbourne after controversy
If “The View” wanted to stir up some more controversy this summer, we feel like they are certainly getting it now … but probably not in the way in which they expected.
On yesterday’s edition of the morning talk show, guest Kelly Osbourne created a storm of controversy by talking about Donald Trump’s comments on Mexican immigrants and saying “If you kick every Latino out of the country, then who is going to clean your toilet, Donald Trump?”. Note that this was a part of a larger point she was trying to make, but in true show fashion she was cut off before she finished. With that said, this comment quickly spread across the internet and lead to Osbourne apologizing online for the way it came across and what she deemed was a more way of trying to explain herself.
Today, Whoopi Goldberg tried to defend Osbourne by saying that her point was being “misunderstood,” and that she was trying to say that Trump’s stance is only going to hurt people that he needs. Rosie Perez, who was at the center of the dispute yesterday, was note present today but did share her take on the matter on social media yesterday.
Ultimately, we imagine Osbourne going back on “The View” again in the future, mostly because the show does love this sort of debate. Remember that there have been some people who have been hired in the past to be a part of the series after stirring up some controversy during their guest appearances.
We will let you know if there is anything else that happens as a result of all of this soon.
