‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: How much trouble is Vanessa in?

VanessaWhat we are seeing right now on the “Big Brother” live feeds is really another testament to how difficult Derrick’s game was last year. You have to juggle so many different things and make everyone feel comfortable. Most important, you have to make sure that nobody wants to ensure that you share information with anyone else.

Vanessa is a really good player. Sure, she talks too much sometimes, but we’ve been very impressed with her ability to make so many people feel close to her. Her biggest problem was that she went against her word on the Austin decision, and that is probably going to be what does her in this season. She lost Jackie the moment that happened, and tonight we’ve seen both her and Becky (who has been onto her for a little while) convince James and Meg that she needs to go home even before Austin, given that she is a huge strategic threat who has deals with everyone.

Of course, this is only Tuesday, so a lot could change between now and the time a new Head of Household is named. Also, one of them has to win. Meg has zero victories, Jackie has one (in a competition that is very luck-based), and at least Becky is a reasonable threat. However, compare that to Vanessa and Shelli (four HoH wins and a Veto between them) and also the potential challenge threat that is Austin.

There is still a way Becky messes all this up, mostly in that she’s played a rat rather recklessly, and Vanessa’s good enough that she could spin this all back on her pretty effortlessly.

The big x-factor in everything is going to be Johnny Mac. If he is completely with Becky against Vanessa and that side, then he is someone who we could easily see winning a Head of Household and targeting her. He may actually be more of a target than he thinks and should probably win because of that, but also, the guy needs to start making a case if he makes it to the end.
